Before last weekend, I hadn’t visited Wickham Park in Manchester, Connecticut in probably 18+ years. When Chelsea + Chris contacted me about their Wickham Park wedding, all I could do was fondly remember the wooden playground that I had loved as a child growing up in that area.

The week leading up to Chelsea and Chris’ wedding threatened a rainy, stormy Saturday. The day before, the forecast suddenly changed and gave us a gorgeous hot and sunny day for their wedding. The boys’ hotel suite was relaxed and happy, drinking craft beer and joking around with one another. After all, that’s what you get when you put three brothers + a long-time best friend turned best man into a room together. I expected nervous bride jitters when I got to Chelsea and Chris’ apartment to meet the ladies but Chelsea was calm, cool, and collected. Not only was she the most chill bride I have ever encountered…she’s also the craftiest. Chelsea put some serious blood, sweat, and tears into the details for her wedding day. She hand-crafted all the bouquets, the boutonnieres, the flower girl’s headdress, the welcome sign for the venue, and many other items that made their evening so incredibly special and personal.

Their outdoor garden ceremony was absolutely breathtaking with a beautiful view of the Hartford skyline behind them. Chelsea’s Dad brought tears to every eye with his touching speech and the guests broke it down on the dance floor long into the evening.
