The mountains of New Hampshire are flooded with leaf-peepers on October weekends. People flock to this area for a reason– it’s breathtaking! Jackie and Jon were engaged atop a hill in Scotland and continued their affinity for stunning scenery by choosing Longlook Farm in New Hampshire for their wedding day. Their families traveled up from New Jersey and beyond for an entire week of festivities to celebrate the happy couple. When Jackie’s cousin Christine Jackson asked me to photograph their wedding with her, I was thrilled. Their October day dawned clear and sunny and I remember gasping with amazement when I stepped out of my car after winding up the mountain to the farm. Jackie and Jon got ready in the adorable cabin beside the wedding barn while the Longlook team readied the space. Jackie and her bridesmaids were calm and serene while the boys in the basement laughed and joked and got tie tying lessons from Jackie’s Dad.

Autumn colored flowers adorned the birch tree archway for their ceremony and white twinkle lights shone from the barn.  Jackie and Jon’s ceremony was one of the most unique I’ve witnessed among my wedding couples. The maple syrup ceremony was adorable and sentimental at the same time. From a teary first look between Bride and Father of the Bride, this close knit family laughed, cried, and danced the night away.

Jackie coordinated everything down to the tiniest of details, including water-coloring each individual place card by hand. Their fox cake toppers signified a story that had a monumental impact on their relationship. They broke in the dance floor for the first time as husband and wife to Disney music, one of their mutual passions. Here are just a few of my favorite images from their day:
