Everyone talks about getting newborn photographs taken within the first two weeks of bringing your new baby home. After that, many parents don’t schedule their baby’s next photography session until six to twelve months old! The first year of a baby’s life is full of so much incredible growth and change, your baby will constantly look and act completely differently. My friend Emily knows just how fleeting these moments are. During our session, she remarked that her two month old daughter looked different already. We started in the nursery, chatting and cooing at baby girl who rewarded us with some big smiles. At two months old, baby girl has fine dark hair and big dark eyes. You probably won’t get any sleepy shots of a two month old, but they’ll be alert and curious!

After we got some traditional photographs of mother and daughter in the nursery, big sister joined us. Big sister is three years old and requested that she keep her princess heels and dress on which was amazing. My baby photography sessions are relaxed and casual and definitely allow for princesses of all shapes and sizes! She was so caring and gentle with her little sister. At one point, she even pointed out and carefully removed a piece of lint from between her toes.
