As usual, I am playing a little catch up with my blog! Rounding out the month of February was this newborn baby girl and her in-home lifestyle session. Baby Juliet was as sweet as can be during this session. I don’t think she cried for a single second during the ninety minutes I was there. Between the adoring looks of her parents and her big brother’s silly antics and adorable hugs, why would she?? We began our photography session in her adorable pink and blue nursery. My newborn sessions are always baby-led which means that when I arrive, I assess baby’s status (fed, hungry, sleepy, asleep, cranky) and suggest where we should begin. Baby Juliet was in a fantastic mood after being fed so we began with pictures of her alone in her sweet nursery. When big siblings are involved, I always suggest getting those pictures done at the beginning as well! Siblings tend to lose focus by the end and parents always want those classic moments :). After those have been completed, we move on to ensuring each parent has solo pictures with their new baby girl, and of course the full family together! If your newborn baby is sleeping, we will get those peaceful sleeping baby shots! If your baby is not, that’s okay too! There is nothing I love more than the intense stare of newborn eye contact. Everything about your new baby changes so quickly, even the color of their eyes. It’s so important to document it all!
