Arielle and Ben found their way to me through a former coworker of mine. I felt instantly connected to them when we met…they wanted a documentary approach to their wedding photography and that’s what I excel at! When they told me their plans for a casual and intimate outdoor wedding at Hyland Orchard, I was like SIGN ME UP! A small September wedding at an orchard/brewery is kind of what dreams are made of for me.

We decided to continue the casual, outdoor feel for their engagement session by choosing Callahan State Park in Framingham. Callahan is right down the road from me and is a favorite location for me for couples and families. The day was cloudy and rainy but cleared up just in time for their June session. Arielle chose an adorable baby blue dress that made her gorgeous blue eyes pop and they both sported their cowboy boots. Stay tuned to possibly see more of those in their wedding photographs!

In the beginning of the session while the sun was a little harsher, we took some classic portraits in the shade of Callahan’s huge trees. We laughed about how its always the parents and grandparents who request pictures with everyone looking so I always make sure to grab a couple! We ended our session with the delicious golden hour light with Arielle + Ben snuggling in the fields as we chatted about wedding plans. Can’t wait to capture them on their wedding day!
