When I was a little girl, I always thought it would be so *cool* to be a twin or have identical twins. I blame Lindsay Lohan and the 1998 remake of Parent Trap for putting that idea in every young girl’s head. Many years later, as I juggle one infant at a time, I cannot even fathom actually becoming a parent of multiples. I have all the respect in the world for those who are blessed with 2, 3, or more babies at once because….jeez louise. I can barely cope with a singleton!

I met the family below through a friend. Mama shared with me that finding out they were pregnant with identical twins was quite the shock at first! Watching these energetic parents in action, they were *meant* to be twin parents. Their girls are vivacious, active, hilarious, adorable, and did I mention active? Our session was quite the workout. Having just become confident walkers, the girls were in all (and usually opposite) directions the whole time! Getting them in the same frame proved challenging. Thank goodness their mama put them in different colored sandals to help me out with identifying who I had photographed already- ha!

Our session was wonderful. Full of squeals of laughter, baby curls in the humidity, matching denim dresses, fighting over snacks, and lots of family affection. It really doesn’t get any cuter than twins…
