As a Boston Family Photographer, I work with a variety of different families. Most of these people live in the Boston Area or close suburbs. Their main intention with a family session is to document each milestone at a meaningful place near home. A smaller portion of my clientele live out of state and are either visiting the Boston area on a trip or vacayion. In July, I talked a little bit about vacation family photography in this post. Instead of a traditional souvenir, more and more families are choosing to invest in a photography session during their travels. This trend has become so popular that companies like Flytographer are making it easier for traveling families to connect with local professionals.
This Summer, Laura Jennings contacted me looking for a Boston Family Photographer for her trip back East. She had plans to visit her hometown with her husband and kiddos and wanted a vacation session to remember their trip. Laura is a fantastic photographer in Florida and I couldn’t wait to work with her family!
Laura and her family met me in Downtown Boston at the Public Garden. They walked up to me looking all Florida tan and glowing as if they’d just stepped off the beach. Her kids were absolute rockstars and the whole family was one of those instantly comfortable/snuggly ones. Photographer’s dream! Laura told me they had been up since 3am, flown up that day and basically just stepped off the plane prior to our session. With that news, I was fully convinced they were a family of beautiful unicorns.
After taking photos at some of the classic Public Garden landmarks, we headed to Beacon Hill. If you’re not familiar with Boston, Beacon Hill is one of the most charming areas in the city. You feel like you’re transported back in time as you walk along the cobblestone streets. Acorn Street is the most photographed street in Boston for good reason! We ended our evening in the Boston Common at sunset where we got some stunning shots of the city skyline.
Laura and family, you were the highlight of my Autumn and I hope you enjoyed your time in our beautiful city. Clearly I now need a beach vacation and now know the perfect Florida Family Photographer :)!

"To say that I love each one would be cliche and a total understatement, but seriously... She nailed it. Being a photographer myself, I am very picky and searched dozens of photographers before coming back to lyndsay and booking her and I am so glad I did. I can't even remember the last time I hired a photographer and was this in love with the images and unable to pick just a few favorites. Thank you, lyndsay, for making the photo session easy (with 3 kids), fun and providing this mama memories for a lifetime.”
"Our images are so special and really captured our joy and the sweet personality of our little girl. Lyndsay did a great job going beyond the typical posed shots and making our photos feel authentic. We will treasure them forever."

"We have done multiple sessions (family and newborn) and we’re so happy with the results. Lyndsay makes you feel comfortable and is able to truly capture the moment. We will have her prints hung in our house for years to come."
