The health and wellness sector of brand photography is one that I personally (as well as professionally) enjoy. When an inquiry came into my inbox for a pilates studio brand photos, it was a dream come true! Every Body Pilates studio is located in Belmont, Massachusetts and specializes in fitness for everyone. Their programming is unique to each body and client, their pain points, and goals. They teach everyone at any age…from beginners to pilates up to advanced levels.

As an experienced brand photographer, I worked with the pilates studio manager to come up with a plan for their session. Because they had a lot of content that they were interested in featuring, we settled with the Premium Brand Package. This package allows up to 3 hours of brand photo time and is ideal for small businesses like Every Body Pilates with less than 10 featured employees.

Our goals for this pilates studio brand photoshoot were as follows:

• Showcase their dynamic instructors and their hands-on custom approach
• Feature their wide variety of clients
• Show off their beautiful, light-filled studio space
• Highlight the variety of equipment found at their studio
• Show images of both group classes and the 1:1 instruction classes
• Document pilates being done at a beginner level with modifications as well as at an advanced level

During our session, we created these images with a very structured timeline of “models” (volunteer clients of the studio) rotating in and out to ensure we got everything needed during our session time. The instructors also took turns teaching in groups and individually, and rotated equipment stations.

Another thing that worked well during this pilates studio brand photos was having each instructor prepped with outfit changes. Periodically during the session, instructors would change tops/colors so that we could create a diverse gallery of images for social media and marketing that don’t all look the same.

The energy I felt taking these photos was absolutely incredible. Not only does Every Body Pilates have an amazingly gorgeous space to take classes in, their team is incredible. You can feel the love and care they have for each and every client they teach just by watching them. They are able to lead a dynamic class, yet also pay attention to the micro-movements of each person to ensure success.

If you live in the Belmont area and have been interested in trying reformer pilates, I can’t recommend this studio enough! Trying something new can be intimidating but the team here is so incredibly welcoming to any and all levels of fitness.
