If the thought of being in front of the camera makes you feel incredibly uncomfortable, you are in the majority of people. I would seriously be rich if I had $1 for every time someone told me they were
“bad” at having their photo taken, that they are awkward, or that they hate every photo of themselves. Honestly, I feel the same about my own self!

Here’s the truth though, you do not need to love being photographed to take incredible brand photos (or family photos, or newborn photos!). What you DO need is a professional photographer who knows how to guide you through the planning and execution of your brand photoshoot.

Here’s the good news…you don’t need to know what to do, that’s what you’ve hired me for! A brand session is guided, from the planning process through being “on set”.

Starting before the session, we delve into the planning. We talk about your business, your personality, how you interact with your clients, and your marketing needs. Is your brand zen? Energetic? Warm and comfortable? Going through all these details ahead of time allows us to make a plan together! This plan includes where the photoshoot will take place, what props and tools we might want you to pack, and what clothes will help you give the look you’re going for.

Having these details nailed down and organized into a Brand Photoshoot Action Plan will help you feel much less anxious. Now you have an idea of what we will be doing!

Confidence Grows Faster Than You Expect

Every client begins their brand photography session with some nerves. This is totally normal!! We will find our rhythm and you will get much more relaxed as we get into it. This is one of the reasons why I block 3 hours of time for a Premium Brand session. We will take a relaxed approach and ease into everything! Having the tools and props you use in your business day in and day out helps you give your hands something to do. Much better than a traditional stiff headshot session!
