You may remember this beautiful couple from their maternity session on one of the hottest days of the year in July. We had met in Beacon Hill by the condo they had just sold and walked the streets that were so familiar to them. These new parents were total rockstars handling a move to Cambridge while preparing to welcome their first child. When this gorgeous baby boy’s Mama emailed me to let me know he had arrived, it was extra exciting as they had kept the baby’s sex a surprise until birth. I arrived to their apartment for his in-home newborn photography session on another very hot Summer day. When I first arrived, I was greeted by very excited new Grandmothers, Grandfather, and an Uncle. Extended family had swooped in to care for, emotionally support, and cook for the new parents and baby. It was truly heartwarming to see firsthand. Baby boy had a gorgeous full head of jet black hair and was calm and very alert at one week old. We didn’t get any sleeping photographs during his session because he was too busy checking out his new family! One of my favorite parts about visiting people’s homes for their newborn session is how relaxed everyone is. In-home sessions feel like hang-outs with friends who happen to have an adorable new baby. There’s always a lot of laughing, feeding, soothing, changing and snuggling. Here are some of my favorites from this Summer newborn session:
