I always get excited when I get to do a photography session within my town of Framingham! This time it was for one of my close friends and follow photographer, Beth and her adorable newborn baby girl. Not only are they an adorable family of four, Beth also happens to have a knack for home design which you’ll see in baby girl’s adorable nursery.

When I arrived to their session, big brother was a *tad* bit excited. And by excited, I mean EXCITED. He was zooming down the halls, jumping on the bed…all normal preschooler age reactions to a new sibling. It can be a difficult adjustment for a child to get used to! One of the best things about lifestyle newborn sessions is that they happen in your own home which is the most comfortable place to be for a sibling. While I photograph mom and baby or dad and baby, preschooler doesn’t have to be there! They can play with their own toys and run around until they are ready to join us. The flow of my newborn sessions is truly flexible. If I arrive and a preschooler is super into photographs, we start with the photographs that include him/her. If they need some time to burn off steam, I start elsewhere!

I mentioned before that Beth had a knack for home decor and I just loved the nursery she created. Some of my favorite features were the grey ceiling (so cool right??), the pink and black accents, the custom dresser knobs, and the floral accent wall with super cool decals… and let’s not forget the adorable stuffed giraffe! We began our session in baby girl’s nursery while big brother and dad had a snack. The family’s furry pup Sadie (aka the most well-behaved dog EVER) made her appearance in many pictures and was not stingy with the kisses!
