There is something so special about being pregnant with your first baby. There is so much excitement building up to the day you become parents for the first time. Having your third trimester fall in the Winter in New England can be a logistical challenge! I love cozy indoor maternity sessions in your own home, but a lot of couples prefer to brave the cold and get outdoors. Being New England born and raised, Winter doesn’t scare me and I am game for being outside any month of the year.
We got pretty lucky for this March maternity session. Our afternoon was sunny and mild, while also having a beautiful blanket of snow. Win, win! It was incredibly special to see this Father-to-be taking such good care of his wife as he helped her across the slippery terrain. Hearing them voice their excitement about the upcoming birth of their daughter left no doubt in my mind that they were going to be wonderful parents!
These expectant parents chose the Old Stone Church in Boylston, Massachusetts for their Winter maternity photo session. This was my second snowy session here and I just love the grey stone against a cold/white background! On an especially windy day, the interior of the old church provides some shelter from the wind and some super cool “indoor” options. This beautiful Mama was absolutely glowing and her adorable perfectly round bump was easy to photograph. Pair that with some gorgeous late Winter sun and you have the perfect conditions!
"To say that I love each one would be cliche and a total understatement, but seriously... She nailed it. Being a photographer myself, I am very picky and searched dozens of photographers before coming back to lyndsay and booking her and I am so glad I did. I can't even remember the last time I hired a photographer and was this in love with the images and unable to pick just a few favorites. Thank you, lyndsay, for making the photo session easy (with 3 kids), fun and providing this mama memories for a lifetime.”
"Our images are so special and really captured our joy and the sweet personality of our little girl. Lyndsay did a great job going beyond the typical posed shots and making our photos feel authentic. We will treasure them forever."

"We have done multiple sessions (family and newborn) and we’re so happy with the results. Lyndsay makes you feel comfortable and is able to truly capture the moment. We will have her prints hung in our house for years to come."
