When I found out that one of my favorite family clients was expecting their fourth child, I was overjoyed.

I absolutely love photographing big families.

The more love and chaos, the more exciting to photograph! With three adorably vivacious big sisters, this little brother was going to be born into more excitement than he could imagine. At their family session this Autumn, the big girls were chattering with excitement over their Mama’s belly and name selections.

Baby boy came roaring into the world quickly, as fourth babies typically do! I was so excited to get the news that he was here and healthy and get his newborn session on my calendar. Since this family is in the process of moving (don’t make me cry), his whole newborn session took place in their master bedroom. This is one of my favorite spots to photograph big families. The bed makes it easy for everyone to snuggle up! The bedroom also has special meaning for this family as baby brother was born here! I love connecting with fellow home-birthing mamas.

Luckily for me, the one room we used was absolutely gorgeous and full of morning light. The big sisters greeted me at the door jumping with excitement. They couldn’t wait to show off their little brother and get in front of the camera again. Little brother was oh-so-teeny and adorably wrinkly. Naturally, the girls fought over who got to hold him first. This little one will not want for attention, that is for sure!

I get a tiny bit choked up that this family is soon leaving the Greater Boston area as I’ve so enjoyed being their family photographer for the last few years. It’s my mission to figure out how to get up to Maine to photograph them next year! P Family, it’s been a pleasure. I can’t wait to see what’s in store for your beautiful family next.
