One of my favorite things about photographing personal branding sessions is getting to hang out and chat with another adult for an hour or two. Marketing photography is unique in that every session is completely different. Every individual has their own story to tell. Caitlin greeted me at the door to her home with a huge smile and welcomed me into the cutest, brightest home studio I’ve ever seen. Caitlin is the creator of Salty Oat, where she sells her gorgeous modern quilts and gifts. Go check them out because now I want one in every room in my house!
Caitlin is a mom, business owner, and all-around charming person. When I first arrived, she showed me her pattern area and took me through the beginning process of quilt-making. It’s amazing how second-nature quilt-making is to her as she easily chatted while she worked. Having learned the art of sewing as a child from her mother and grandmother, Caitlin is a seasoned pro. My own grandmother was a talented seamstress and I remember spending many afternoons in her sewing room watching her work. Being in Caitlin’s home studio was definitely nostalgic for me!
Her studio is full of inspiring fabric, colorful thread, and a variety of other textiles. I had a blast taking in all the colorful details. After the “action” portion of our shoot was completed, I always like to get a few headshots as it’s a crucial part of marketing photography. Consumers buy the brand/person before they buy the product. Putting your face on your website and in your social media is just important as displaying your product(s).

"To say that I love each one would be cliche and a total understatement, but seriously... She nailed it. Being a photographer myself, I am very picky and searched dozens of photographers before coming back to lyndsay and booking her and I am so glad I did. I can't even remember the last time I hired a photographer and was this in love with the images and unable to pick just a few favorites. Thank you, lyndsay, for making the photo session easy (with 3 kids), fun and providing this mama memories for a lifetime.”
"Our images are so special and really captured our joy and the sweet personality of our little girl. Lyndsay did a great job going beyond the typical posed shots and making our photos feel authentic. We will treasure them forever."
