March was definitely the month of babies for me. From fourth babies, to adorable brothers, to a birth space twin session– I had it all! This Sudbury newborn baby boy was the perfect end of the month addition.

When I first arrived, baby Joseph was wide awake and taking it all in. Normally my newborn clients are lacking in the eyebrow department, but not Joseph. He had the most expressive facial features which he used to stare me down. At 8 weeks old, this Sudbury newborn was a little older than the traditional newbie and firmly into the smiling phase. He seemed to sense that his Mom and Dad wanted nothing more than to capture his gummy smiles so he remained as stoic as possible. Classic baby move. Dad’s endless efforts to make him smile finally paid off and we were able to get a few glimpses. Even though he was only 8 weeks old, Mom and Dad already knew the changing table trick to a happy baby!

After all that hard work smiling, baby boy was starting to get a little cranky. When even being walked around on dad’s shoulder didn’t help, Mom knew it was nap time. Joseph drifted calmly off to sleep within 30 seconds in her arms. His sleeping face had quite possibly the cutest lip pout I’ve ever seen. He transferred peacefully onto the master bed and we were able to get some sweet sleeping baby photographs. Baby Joseph, you knocked your first photo session out of the park!
