Kasie and I grew up in the same neighborhood through middle school and high school and were constantly at each other’s houses. Her family was like my family and mine like hers. When she emailed me to say she was engaged and needed a wedding and engagement photographer, I was thrilled! Having just recently moved from the city to the ‘burbs, Kasie and Ajay decided that the city of Boston was more their style for their engagement shoot. We settled on meeting in the Boston Public Gardens and meandering our way through the cobblestone streets of Beacon Hill. Like the suburbanite that I am, I drove from Framingham and jockeyed for a parking spot. Like sleek city folks, Kasie and Ajay took an Uber and made dinner plans for after our session. I love when my couples treat their engagement session like a date– you’re already dressed up, why not?!

Being three days before Halloween, Beacon Hill was decked out like nothing I have seen before. Pumpkins, ghosts, ghouls, skeletons, and giant spiders lined the streets. I was able to creatively dodge most spooky decor with my camera but you’ll see some spiderwebs in the backdrop! As we walked around, I made a mental note to bring my boys back here next October to see Beacon Hill in all its ghoulish glory.

We strolled and talked more about both of their large families and their September wedding at the Herreshoff Marine Museum. I love when my wedding couples have unique aspects to their celebrations. Kasie and Ajay are planning a three day long Indian-meets-Italian wedding this Autumn along the Narragansett Bay.
