Each brand photo client I work with for the first time gets an extensive questionnaire. This questionnaire goes over things like the company’s vibe, colors, and marketing needs.

Once the questionnaire has been completed, we jump on a planning call to go over each aspect of their upcoming brand photoshoot. Sometimes these calls involve a web designer who has specific needs for image placement on the website they are building. As a brand photographer, the more information I can gather about each brand, the better!

On the day of this consulting firm brand photoshoot, we had the following images on our task list:

• lifestyle headshot updates
• group shots that aren’t stiff
• working images of the team
• B-Roll style photos like handshakes, computer, hand writing, client zoom call

Their web designer also requested a group image with a lot of negative space for a website header as well as a focus on blues, browns and earth tones. The seaport waterfront as well as this Yotel Seaport neutral conference room were perfect backdrops to bring it all to life.
