I met this Wellesley family my first year in business and I’ve so enjoyed watching them all grow over the past three years! During our session at Elm Bank in Wellesley last October 2016, Mama shared with me that she was newly pregnant and we chatted about my impending home birth (I was 35 weeks at the time) and how much she had loved her own.

When I arrived at their home last Spring for their in-home lifestyle newborn session, the girls greeted me like an old friend and eagerly showed me their rooms and “their” new baby. Fast forward six months to October and this little wrinkly munchkin has turned into the most adorable, smiley blonde boy whose big sisters are smitten with him.

This year, we chose Wellesley College’s Lake Waban for their family session. Not only is Lake Waban one of my favorite places to take my own kids to ride and explore the walking trail, but it’s an ideal spot for family photographs too. The trail offers lake views, a stone bridge, a nice open field, some wooded areas…plenty of variety within a ten minute walk. Pair that with interesting dogs, swans, ducks and people and there is plenty to keep the kids distracted from the pain (KIDDING!) of getting their photo taken. We met right before sunset on a sunny and fairly warm evening. This family totally lucked out as I believe this weekend was the best foliage of the year. The girls were happy to be outside running around and baby brother was a smiley little nugget with the cutest dimples. We started out with some more traditional family photographs with that quintessential New England Autumn foliage and then meandered down the trail until we got some great variety. Enjoy!
