This Winter was filled with newborn babies and I loved it! This beautiful Mama was gifted a newborn session at her baby shower (great gift, amiright??). When I first arrived to their lovely home, I was greeted by Bear, baby boy’s big (little) fur brother. He was both protective of and excited about his new family member and made lots of cameos in our photography session.

We began our session in the living room where baby boy enjoyed lots of snuggles from his parents in his first outfit change of the day. He was wide awake and staring curiously at both my camera and his adoring new parents while Bear bounced around excitedly. At not even two weeks old, he had full cheeks, wrist rolls, and adorable jet black hair.

As baby boy changed into his next onesie, a Martha’s Vineyard onesie, his new daddy told me all about how he met baby boy’s mommy serendipitously on Martha’s Vineyard. It was one of the most special love stories I have heard in a long time and it made photographs in this onesie even more special. His yellow, green, and blue frog-themed nursery was a great backdrop for our second stop in their home. We laughed as Mom said it was his first time laying in the crib– many parents say the same thing during their newborn sessions!

At the close of our session, we went back to the living room couch and Dad happened to mention that he played harmonica. How cool is that? I’ve never heard a harmonica in person before so I begged him to sit and play a tune for us. Something tells me baby boy will be serenaded a lot as he grows up– lucky boy!
