When CommCreative first contacted me about their headshot project, I loved their vision. They were not looking for the standard seated headshot that every executive has. They wanted something modern and approachable, as a marketing agency should have. Their office work space was sleek and cool. Why shouldn’t their headshots be too? When your job is making other companies’ brands stand out, you have to make sure your branding is on point as well.

The creative director for this project had the idea of standing headshots and we ran with it. A nice clean white backdrop made for the perfect background to bring the focus to the executive teams’ faces. Standing instead of a stiff seated headshot made each person’s body language instantly more relaxed. Photographing everyone in landscape instead of portrait orientation gave a more modern feel.

After turning on my classic charm (read: awkward) to get those relaxed expressions, I got to tour their incredible office space. CommCreative’s office is also a living art gallery that features new artists throughout the year. It’s no wonder their team is so creative…I’d be inspired in a workspace like that too!
